Neil Mullarkey: Don't be
needy, be succeedy! |
Fringe Programme page 43 |
Comedy Store performer Neil Mullarkey introduces us to
L Vaughan Spencer? a personal development motivation consultant and
we, the audience, have signed up for a taster of his full
courses.
Mullarkey has got this life stylist off to a tee, and actively
involves his audience, some more than others, as would L Vaughan. We are all
involved in the warn up, have to rate own vulnerability on a scale
from one to ten. I, fortunately, have never had real exposure to
this type of ' therapy', but from what I have heard Neil is almost
for real.
In his style we learn about work- life balance,
moisturizing, facial hair and how to change our lives to succeed. He
is genuinely funny, the whole audience were laughing at this spoof
send-up delivered with Neil's inimitable
style.
Highlights? Almost too many to list. I did
particularly enjoy his
interplay with the very responsive audience and a quick one-liner
that whilst living for a while with the Red Indian in America, he
was given the name Talking Bull.
I could thoroughly recommend this 'course' to anyone.
It may not make you succeedy, but you will not be 'needy' of a good
laugh for quite a while.
